Workday Project Manager - Onboarding Optimization

Overview
Seeking a senior Workday Project Manager to lead a high-visibility onboarding optimization initiative following a recent Workday go-live. The organization has identified challenges in the onboarding experience and needs a seasoned PM to drive improvements across Workday business processes, stakeholder alignment, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a 3-4 month onboarding optimization initiative within Workday.

• Partner with HR, Recruiting, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to improve onboarding workflows and visibility.
• Drive enhancements to Workday business processes (BP design) and related integrations.
• Facilitate requirements sessions, manage project plans, and provide leadership updates.
• Deliver incremental improvements through a practical, hybrid Agile approach.
• Navigate complex stakeholder dynamics and build consensus across teams.

Required Experience

Proven experience leading Workday projects or post-go-live optimization initiatives.

• Experience with Workday Recruiting and Onboarding (does not need to be a deep functional expert, but must understand the modules and associated processes).
• Broad Workday knowledge across HCM and integrated business processes.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal direction.

Senior, polished, and able to take full ownership of the initiative.

• Strong Workday background with exposure to multiple functional areas.
• Experience improving onboarding or employee experience processes.
• Comfortable navigating organizational politics and driving change.

Excellent communication and executive-facing presentation skills.
